8th House

Spiritual transformation, life, death, regeneration
“We have” (legacy, inheritance)
How & what you share with others

The next 30° of sky that become visible over the eastern horizon from 14-16 hours after birth (or from the moment a chart is drawn up) is called the Eighth House. This house is counterpart to the house of “mine,” and is the house of “ours.” Called “Mors” or “Death” in Latin, this house is all about transformation and buried things. This house covers inheritance or shared wealth (literal wealth or metaphorical), as well as legacy. It also represents spiritual transformation, whether within this lifetime or the transformation of birth, death, and the beyond. Any planet that may occupy this house exerts its influence on your concept of legacy. If there are no planets in this house, it may indicate that you don’t spend a lot of conscious energy in this part of your life, that things in this sector flow without needing extra effort, or that you aren’t working on major life lessons in this area during your current lifetime.
